# ChatGPT Chrome extension can now read and act on open tabs

OpenAI updated its Chrome extension so ChatGPT can access open tabs and summarize their content. In Work mode, a 'Computer Use' feature can fill out forms or compare products across several tabs. It is available on all ChatGPT plans.

**Why it matters:** Putting agentic browsing in the browser people already use, on every plan, is a distribution move against standalone AI browsers. It also widens the attack surface for prompt injection, since the agent now sees everything in a user's open tabs.
