# Google data shows AI mostly isn't replacing workers' tasks yet

An analysis of 15 million real AI interactions, drawn from Google's data, finds that most tasks in most jobs remain largely unaffected by AI despite widespread automation hype.

**Why it matters:** This is a useful counterweight to OpenAI's own research (already covered) showing ChatGPT is expanding the scope of workers' jobs rather than replacing them outright — together the two studies point toward AI augmenting specific tasks so far, not replacing jobs wholesale.
