# IBM to train and certify consultants on OpenAI technology

IBM is partnering with OpenAI to expand its enterprise AI push, planning to train and certify tens of thousands of consultants on OpenAI's technology.

**Why it matters:** This follows IBM's separate $240M GPU cloud deal with Together AI, showing IBM chasing enterprise AI adoption from multiple angles at once: infrastructure and now a consulting channel tied to a specific model vendor.
