# Mistral adds EU data routing and paid priority queue access

Mistral now lets customers route AI requests through either European or US servers, and offers paid priority access during high-traffic periods. Both options carry a surcharge, and regional routing doesn't cover all features or data.

**Why it matters:** This is a direct response to EU data-sovereignty pressure and shows a European AI provider turning regulatory compliance into a paid premium feature rather than a baseline guarantee. Other labs serving regulated industries in Europe may follow the same playbook.
