# SemiAnalysis: 300+ local data center bans delayed only three projects

SemiAnalysis mapped more than 300 local data center moratoriums against the US pipeline. It found only three projects were actually delayed.

**Why it matters:** This suggests local backlash is so far more noise than constraint on AI buildout. Statewide moves, like the proposed Virginia moratorium and Oregon's permit pause, are the ones that could change that picture.
