Amazon can train AI on Twitch content unless streamers opt out

Twitch, owned by Amazon, by default allows the company to use streamers' content to train its AI models. Streamers must actively opt out, and many say they only found out about the practice once the opt-out option was announced.

Why it matters: This follows a familiar pattern of major platforms defaulting users into AI training data collection rather than asking for consent upfront, echoing similar backlash at other services. It keeps alive the broader fight over who controls content used to train commercial AI systems.
