Anthropic brings Claude voice mode to Opus and Sonnet models

Claude's voice mode, previously limited to the faster but less capable Haiku model, is now available with Opus and Sonnet. Anthropic also extended voice mode's reach into apps like Gmail, Slack, and Canva.

Why it matters: Anthropic said users were already using voice mode to work through real business problems rather than quick queries, which Haiku wasn't designed to handle well, so this upgrade brings voice interaction in line with Claude's most capable reasoning models.
