Anthropic extends free Fable 5 access for Claude subscribers

Anthropic is keeping Claude Fable 5 available within its subscription plans through July 19, 2026, delaying a planned switch to pay-per-use pricing. Subscribers can use up to half their weekly usage limit on Fable 5. The move follows pricing pressure from OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol and other cheaper competing models.
