Claude Opus 5 generates full 3D games with physics from a prompt
Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 can generate complete 3D games — including a first-person shooter, a kart racer, and a Minecraft-style clone — from a single prompt, producing geometry, textures, physics, and in some cases music entirely as code with no external assets. In side-by-side tests it outperformed GPT-5.6 and Kimi K3 on this task.
Why it matters: This pushes prompt-to-game generation well past earlier 'rough color block' prototypes into playable 3D experiences, suggesting foundation models are closing in on a genuinely disruptive game-development use case rather than just simple tech demos.
