Shared Claude chats were exposed in Google search results
Shared conversations from Anthropic's Claude chatbot briefly appeared in Google search results because the pages lacked a noindex tag. Some exposed chats reportedly contained crypto keys and legal questions. OpenAI made a similar mistake with ChatGPT last year.
Why it matters: This is a real privacy lapse, not a marketing story - sensitive user content became publicly searchable due to a basic web-indexing oversight. That the same mistake happened at both OpenAI and Anthropic suggests chat-sharing features across the industry are still treating search-engine exposure as an afterthought rather than a default risk to design against.
