Editorial standards
Parallel Quant exists to answer one question well, every day: what actually mattered in AI, and why? These are the standards we hold every update to.
What we cover
We track artificial intelligence across frontier labs, research, chips and the data centers powering them, policy and safety, open models, robotics, and the companies building something genuinely new. We follow a curated set of primary and reputable secondary sources — labs' own announcements and research, respected trade and general press — rather than scraping the whole web indiscriminately.
The significance bar
Most of what crosses the wire does not get published. Every candidate is scored for significance, and only stories that clear a deliberate bar make it onto the site. We skip marketing and press releases, funding rounds with no product substance, minor version bumps, listicles, hype, and routine filler. The goal is a feed you can read in a few minutes and trust that nothing important is missing — and nothing unimportant is wasting your time.
Original analysis, not rewrites
A summary tells you what happened. Our why it matters tells you what it means — the implication, the second-order effect, or how a development connects to a broader trend or to earlier events we have covered. That analytical layer is written by us and is the reason the site exists. Each week, our Weekly Signal roundup steps back further, connecting the week's stories into the handful of themes that actually drove it.
Sourcing and attribution
Every update credits and links to its primary source so you can read the full story and verify it yourself. We summarize only what the source supports; we do not invent figures, dates, or quotes, and we avoid hype language. Facts and events belong to the record; the original reporting belongs to the outlets we link to.
Accuracy and corrections
AI moves fast and early reports are sometimes revised. If we get something wrong, we want to fix it. Email contact@parallelquant.com with the update and the correction, and we will review and amend it.
Independence
Our coverage is independent. We do not accept payment to include, exclude, or slant a story, and links in our updates are editorial, not sponsored. The Site is supported by standard display advertising, which is kept separate from editorial decisions. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising works.
How it's produced
Parallel Quant runs on an automated editorial pipeline built around the standards above: it continuously monitors our sources, applies the significance bar, writes each summary and its analysis to a fixed rubric, and publishes on a regular schedule — with the weekly roundup synthesizing the result. The standards, sources, and bar are set and maintained deliberately; the pipeline is how we apply them consistently and keep the site current.
