Anthropic lets enterprises run its top model for security scans only
Anthropic's Claude Security scanner, now in public beta for Claude Enterprise customers, runs on the company's most capable model, Claude Mythos 5, with no separate model add-on required. The scanner connects to a GitHub repository, traces data flows across files, and returns findings with CWE classifications, confidence and severity ratings, and a suggested patch. Anthropic is also integrating Mythos 5 into partner security products used to protect critical infrastructure.
Why it matters: By packaging the model as a fixed scan result rather than an open prompt, Anthropic gives customers its most cyber-capable model's abilities while limiting the risk that the same capability gets steered into writing exploits — a middle path other vendors offering both defensive and general-purpose AI products will likely have to navigate too.
