Benchmark: Claude Code fastest agent framework, costs 3x more
Composio tested DeepSeek V4 Flash across four agent frameworks on 30 real-world tasks. Success rates were similar across frameworks, but per-task cost varied nearly 3x: OpenCode was cheapest at $0.073, while Claude Code cost $0.195 despite using the fewest tool calls and output tokens.
Why it matters: With success rates converging across frameworks, the practical choice increasingly comes down to price and speed rather than raw capability, a sign the agent-framework market is commoditizing around the underlying model rather than orchestration logic. Independent cost benchmarks like this matter more as teams scale agent usage in production, where per-task costs compound quickly.
