Delaware plan would let AI agents run entire businesses
A Delaware proposal would allow companies to be run by AI agents with no human at the helm. US Rep. Comer says owners of such firms would evade liability for 'reckless' AI.
Why it matters: Delaware is the default home of US corporate law, so changes there set de facto national norms. Shielding owners from agent misconduct would shift risk to customers and creditors, making liability allocation a central fight as autonomous agents take on real business functions.
