Microsoft open-sources Agensh, a leaderless harness for up to 1,024 agents
Microsoft Research released Agensh, a multi-agent harness with no central orchestrator. Self-organizing workers share a Git repo, chat and a findings board, and it scaled from 1 to 1,024 agents on ProgramBench under a 6-hour budget.
Why it matters: It tests the opposite design to central orchestration, with coordination emerging through shared artifacts. Together with Anthropic's single-agent advice, it shows the field has not settled how agent work should be structured at scale.
