Over a million people have used LinkedIn's 'AI slop' flag
LinkedIn introduced a "Seems like AI slop" button in late July, letting users flag posts they suspect are AI-generated. LinkedIn's chief product officer said more than a million people have already clicked it. The rollout followed a report that AI detector Pangram found 41% of LinkedIn's longform posts showed signs of full AI generation.
Why it matters: The high usage of the flagging tool, only weeks after launch, is a concrete signal of how much AI-generated content users are noticing on professional platforms, adding pressure on other social networks to build similar detection and moderation tools.
