1Password lets AI agents log in without seeing passwords
1Password launched a feature that lets AI agents sign in to a customer's personal accounts without exposing the underlying credentials to the agent. The agent gets access while the secrets stay protected.
Why it matters: Agents that shop and act on users' behalf, like Walmart's new agent checkout, need account access, and handing them raw passwords is a clear security risk. Credential brokering is an emerging answer to that risk, and it arrives as Microsoft urges treating agents as insider threats.
