ChatGPT adds Sketch tool to turn doodles into detailed AI images

OpenAI launched ChatGPT Images 2.5, adding a Sketch feature that lets users draw directly in the chat window and have ChatGPT generate a detailed image from the drawing plus instructions. It's activated by typing "@Sketch," and users can also leave comments on specific parts of generated images.

Why it matters: Sketch-to-image input lowers the barrier to precise creative control for non-artists and continues a shift toward spatial, drawing-based inputs in chat interfaces rather than text prompts alone — a direction other image-gen tools are also moving toward.
